ORISSA YOUTH FESTIVAL AT PARTHI
==============================
Pleased to inform that by the Swami's blessings our youths and Sai family members went to Parthi on 31.10.2007 with Padma Mausi, Iswar mausa to participate in Orissa Festival at Parthi from 4th to 9th November, 2007. They were later joined by more Sai family members from Paradip who left Paradip on 03.11.2007 under the leadership of Bipin Kaka. We all were in apprehension in one stage about the staging of the drama BHAKTA DASIA when we were given to understand that the number of festival days will be reduced to 1 or 2 days. We had no options but to cry before swami's image at Paradip and to make our prayers more vigorous as all the children particiapting in the drama had struggled a lot to practice this skit BHAKTA DASIA since last several months under the guidance of Iswar Mausa, Padma Mausi and PJP Rao mausa besides the other sai family members continuously extending their supports all these months. The children's spirit must have been dampened incase of non staging of the drama at Parthi. Finally Swami had listened all our Prayers and drama was staged at Parthi on 06.11.2007 in presence of Swami. This day will be red letter day for our Samithy and might be a Life time achievement for the people behind this drama as Sai Jagannath witnessed the a small sketch of life of one of his Bhakta... called DASIA. To the fortune of us, few photos of the skit were placed in the Sathya Sai Book Trust website... which can be viewed by clicking the below link...

The Orissa devotees had their second day of programmes today. Bhagawan came onstage at 4.50 pm, and after He Blessed the articles brought up by the devotees, the drama "Bhaktha Dasia" got underway. The atmosphere of Jagannath Puri was recreated in Sai Kulwant Hall with the large idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra kept as the backdrop. The Lord accepts the offering of the humble Dasia and sanctifies his life. Swami granted group photos to the participants after their 45 minute presentation and briefly visited the interview room. The next dance programme got underway once Swami returned. Fifteen minutes of Ghumura dance, traditionally in praise of the Mother Goddess, with acrobatic drummers, who were Blessed by Bhagawan with clothes after their performance. At 6.10 pm, after prasadam was distributed, Swami accepted Arati and returned to His residence.

Devotees and youth from Orissa are here in thousands, and this evening they presented a cultural programme. Some legislators and State Ministers from Orissa are also here. Bhagawan came to the stage area at 5.10 pm and the devotees brought up some items for Blessings, following which the programme began with a theme song on Bharat. A half-hour drama entitled "Secret of Happiness" followed, portraying the dictum that one gets joy by giving joy to others. Bhagawan came down from the stage to stand among the participants and grant them group photographs. Gotipua dance followed. This is traditionally performed by young boys dressed as Odissi dancers, performing many breath-taking acrobatic feats in their portrayal of the eternal Love of Radha and Krishna. Bhagawan Blessed the performers with group photographs and clothes. Ten minutes of Bhajans by the Orissa devotees followed as prasadam was distributed, and Swami accepted Arati at 6.30 pm.

Swami was pleased with the performance and blessed all the participants, created a gold chain for Simran [who played Bala krishna in the skit], stood with our children in the group photo. Our children are returning back to Paradip by 11th midnight. Really they are very very fortunate to have got Swami in their midst.
HAD VISITED SIMRAN'S HOUSE AT 0300 HRS ON 12.11.07 AFTER SHE AND HER FAMILY JUST ARRIVED FROM BHUBANESWAR. HAD TO DISTURB THEM TO ACOMODATE ONE UNKNOWN CHILD OF SWAMI FROM BHUBANESWAR. SIMRAN WAS STILL SLEEPY. BUT ON OUR REQUEST SHE POSED FOR A PHOTO SHOWING SWAMI'S GIFT/BLESSINGS FOR HER.
SHE IS REALLY A CUTE AND BLESSED CHILD OF OUR BELOVED SWAMI.
