Youth meet & visit of Shri Jagannath mausa and Padma Mausi

Sairam to all our beloved Sai family members...

By grace of Swami, our beloved and revered elder family members Shri P.Jagannatha Prasad Rao and Smt. P.Padmalata arrived at Paradip and attended the YOUTH MEET [specially called] on 26.01.2008. The meet started with Bhajans, Chanting of Sai Gayatri etc. All were amused to have both Mausa and Mausi amongst them and felt that Swami has sent both to us to boost the morals of the youths which has gone down after their departure from Paradip. In his short speech, Jagannath Mausa stressed on practising Swami's teachings in our daily lives and to remain vigilant against the negative qualities. He advised that each of us should try to do/think positive atleast for 5 minutes in a day and we should introspect at the end of the day about our daily activities. Mausi was little emotional while speaking to the participants, remembering her days at Paradip when our Samithy was bursting with activities [of course with their guidance] and she was taking part in all the activities. She advised us to participate in Swami's activities as we have ample opportunity in our hands to do so being a member of Sai Family, Paradip. At the end of meet, sweets were distributed to all. Then both left us with a heavy heart for all the sai youths. They had to attend various programmes of Swami [meeting the parents at Balidia, Satsang at IFFCO, Annual function of Mangarajapur Health Centre]. Before leaving mandir, both mausa and mausi went through the wall magazine SAI SRUJANEE.

Many youths attended this memorable meet coninciding the Republic Day.

Monthly Medical Seva - 20.01.2008

By grace of Swami, the brothers of our Samithy had carried out the Medical Seva on 20.01.2008 in the Biju Memorial Hospital [the state govt. hospital at Paradip]. About 12 brothers had participated in this seva activity.

Annual SPIRITUAL PICNIC on 13.01.2008

Our Samithy [Mahila Bibhag] had organised a SPIRITUAL PICNIC at Sector-21 [Nehru bangala] on 13.01.2008 for Balvikash students and Balvikash Gurus. About 350 persons participated in this picnic. The very first programme of the year 2008 was MONTHLY SAI YOUTH MEET which was held on 01.01.2008 [Tuesday] at our Mandir. The meet was graced by Swami in his subtle form besides Dr.Satya Swarup Patnaik [Lucky], Brother Himanshu Patnaik [Dilu], the youth coordinator, Shri Antaryami Mausa and Bipin Kaka. The meet was to be preponed than normal 3rd Saturday of the month because of the forthcoming Orissa State Conference. Besides our regular activities like Bhajans, chanting of Sai Gayatri & Maha Mrityunjay Mantra, Likhita Japa and meditation etc., two of our youth sisters had submitted their spiritual diary at the lotus feet of our beloved mother. The topic for discussion during this meet was - DISCIPLINE FOR A SAI YOUTH AT INDIVIDUAL AND ORGANISATIONAL LEVEL. Two sisters and one brother spoke about the topic. The same was discussed in a group. Thereafter our revered Antaryami mausa and Bipin Bhai guided the youths on the topic. Dr.Sathya Swarup Patniak narrated about his experience of his student life at Parthi how Swami emphasised on discipline. Then all youths present were requested to give their conscent about the seva they can offer during the year 2008. Then the youth coordinator, brother Himanshu Patnaik rendered an inspiring talk to the youths. After Mangala Aarati to Swami, the meet came to an end around 1430 hrs. Thereafter all participated in Prasad Sevan. The main seva works for the year was listed as under. However we will accept any new/ innovative seva if suggested by our youths...

HARMONY IN HUMANITY PROGRAMME - 31.12.2007

Another year gone away from our lives. We are nearer by another year to the final day of our life. This is the high time to introspect how we have utilised the year 2007 for our beloved Mother Sai !! Any way, instead of being philosophical, endeavouring to post the report of this important celebration of our samithy on 31.12.2007 which happens to be the last function in the calender of our Samithy - HARMONY IN HUMANITY. Like previous years, the major religious organisations of our Port participated in this funtion. To name a few of them, St.Mary's church, Shri Aurobindo Ashram, Satsang Vihar, Art of Living foundations, Shri Shyama Shyam ashram, Mahima Ashram - who were kind enough to join us and offered their bhajans and keertans. The honourable Chairman and Traffic Manager of Paradip Port Trust had attended the celebrations for some time inspite of their busy schedules. After the renderings of spiritual organisations, our Samithy brothers and sisters including Sai Youths offered their soulful bhajans. At around 11.45 PM, our Sai Youth girls rendered group songs... O maa - O maa, E Mailk tere bande hum and finally SWAGATHAM SWAGATHAM in which we normally welcome the new year. All people were served with prasadam. The highlight of this year was screening of still photos of youth activities and the video clips of the film PURE LOVE with the help of a LCD Projector for which three Sai Youths, Brother Dr.Satya Swarup Patnaik, Sankhu, Ganesh had taken lot of pains. Antaryami mausa had offered the Aarati to Swami after the midnight. The sad feeling was when we thought of parting away our youths Dhala brother and sister duo from us as they would be leaving for their native place, Jajpur town and settling there after the retirement of their father. We wish them all the success for their bright futures. At the end of the programme the youths sought the blessings of mausa and mausis.
